Health Savings Accounts (HSA)

Through our partnership with HealthEquity, a Health Savings Account (HSA) gives you more control of your health care spending and saving. Based on the plan you select, you may have access to an HSA.

A Health Savings Account (HSA) is a tax-advantaged savings account that you can use to pay for qualified medical, pharmacy, dental, and vision expenses. HSAs work in conjunction with an HSA-eligible health plan that meets IRS guidelines. With recent federal legislation changes, additional Individual and Family Qualified Health Plans (QHP) are eligible for HSA contributions starting January 1, 2026. Use our plan comparison tool to find which health plans are now paired with an HSA. You can also use our plans and premiums chart.

Advantages of an HSA

  • Tax-deductible contributions, tax-free earnings, and tax-free distribution for qualified expenses.
  • The money in your HSA rolls over each year and is yours to keep, even if you retire or change health plans.
  • Can be used for eligible health-related expenses for yourself and eligible family members.
  • Helps you even out your medical expense over time. Since you manage your funds, you can save HSA money when you’re healthy, so it’s ready when you need it.
  • Money that goes into your HSA brings down your taxable income.
