Our signature Hike, Bike and Paddle event is back, taking place virtually July 29-August 13, 2023. Share your photos for a chance to win a kayak package and to help us give back.
Berlin, Vermont — Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont’s (Blue Cross VT) annual Hike, Bike and Paddle event returns for 2023. This program motivates people of all ages to get outside, try a new summer activity—or return to one they have long enjoyed—and to simply take in the beauty of our state. Blue Cross VT is inviting Vermonters outdoors for a hike, bike, or a paddle, and to post your photo to encourage your friends to try a new summer activity. With every photo that is posted, participants earn a chance to win a new kayak, paddle, and personal flotation device, all while supporting scholarships for Vermont kids to attend summer camp.
Between Saturday, July 29 through Sunday, August 13, share photos of yourself, your family or friends getting outside to hike, bike, paddle, swim – whatever outdoor activity you choose.
For each photo shared, Blue Cross VT will donate $5 to Camp Exclamation Point, an organization that provides continuity and community to underserved rural Vermont kids through week-long residential summer camps.
When you post on your own page, be sure to tag Blue Cross VT. You can post as many photos as you like – the more you add, the better your chances of getting picked and the more funds go to Camp Exclamation Point!
To learn more about how to get involved and earn the chance to win, please visit https://www.bluecrossvt.org/hike-bike-and-paddle-2023. On August 14, one submission will be chosen at random.
Invite a friend to rent a pair of kayaks and get out on the water together. Take a hike through one of the beautiful Vermont State Parks. Visit your local bike shop to tune up your bike and get a recommendation for a ride that is just your speed. Regardless of how you spend your time, grab that sunblock, your helmet and life preserver, and head outdoors to get moving!
