Blue Cross VT Invites All Vermonters to Get Out, Hike and Connect with One Another
Our annual Mountain Days event kicks off May 9 and continues through May 31.
Berlin, VT — Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont (Blue Cross VT) today announced its annual Mountain Days event will take place this Saturday, May 9 at Mt. Wantastiquet. This fun annual event brings together people of all ages and abilities to get out and get active with friends and neighbors.
“There are so many benefits to getting out in nature, exercising and catching up with friends, especially after a long winter,” said Megan Peek, Director of Community Relations and Health Promotion at Blue Cross VT. “Being active has tremendous benefits for both physical and mental health so creating an opportunity for residents to do that supports Blue Cross’s commitment to a healthy Vermont.”

- All Vermonters are encouraged to join Blue Cross VT to hike Mt. Wantastiquet and enjoy the backdrop of Brattleboro’s downtown and the Connecticut River. Blue Cross VT will provide free Mountain Day t-shirts, healthy snacks, and water.
Those who can’t join on the 9th can participate in the virtual event running May 9th – May 31st. During that time, Vermonters are invited to post a photo of themselves conquering a mountain or a nature trail on the Blue Cross VT Facebook or Instagram page or by sending an email to events@bcbsvt.com.
For each photo shared Blue Cross will donate $5 to Vermont Parks Forever Access Fund, which grants free park passes to hundreds of Vermonters each year.
